Políticas del cuerpo
Rolf Art is pleased to announce it’s participation at Female Voices of Latin-America on Vortic London. With a group show titled Body policies, the exhibition proposal features a careful selection of artworks by seven remarkable female artists from Latin-America represented by the gallery: Dalila Puzzovio (b. 1942, Argentina); Adriana Lestido (b. 1955, Argentina); Silvia Rivas (b. 1957, Argentina); Milagros de la Torre (b. 1956, Perú / Estados Unidos); María José Arjona (b. 1973, Colombia); Ananké Asseff (b. 1971, Argentina); & Vivian Galban (b. 1969, Argentina).
These are artists who place the body on their artworks, a body used as a visceral component of their works, carried out with their own discursiveness to open new spaces for debate & discussion about the contemporary problem of female body liberation.
Body policies address the notion of forms that administer the body, the re-administration of the meaning of the body from a different perspective than the one represented in the long art history by the external eye over the body (the female body), to propose the exploration of a liberated legal territory, over which we do not have (or should not have) to ask for permission.
Body policies
